Vacancy

Vacancy is unsold billboard time: a face or digital slot with no paid ad for a period.

Vacancy is the flip side of occupancy. If occupancy is 80%, vacancy is 20%.

An empty face still costs money. The ground lease, permit, lights and insurance cost the same whether it is sold or not.

Operators fill vacancy with new sales, short flights or backfill. Some post a house ad or a public service ad so the board doesn’t look empty.

Formula

Vacancy rate = 100% − occupancy rate

In Gabie

Scout picks open faces that have a rate and a location, finds nearby businesses, and drafts outreach. A rep approves each email before it sends.

Every empty face is money you already spent.

Sign up free for your first 100 faces, or bring three open faces and we run Scout on them while you watch.
