How we check our facts.
Every guide, permit page and review here follows the same eight rules.
- 01
Every number has a source.
We link each number to the place it came from. Every source is listed at the end of the page, with the date we checked it.
- 02
We go to the people who made the number.
That means OAAA, Geopath, the Federal Highway Administration, state DOTs, the Census, and the filings of public billboard companies.
- 03
Old numbers are marked.
We use sources from the last three years. If a number is older, the page says so. If we can’t find a source, we leave the number out.
- 04
When sources disagree, we show both.
Two official pages sometimes give two answers. We print both and say which office to call.
- 05
We are fair to other software.
We make billboard software, so we have a stake. Our reviews say what each tool does well and who should pick it. Prices come from the tool’s own pages, with the date. If a price comes from a partner’s page, we say whose. If no price is posted, we say that.
- 06
What we say about Gabie is true today.
We only describe what Gabie does now. Sample companies and boards in our examples are made up, and we say so.
- 07
Every page shows its dates.
You can see when a page was first posted and when it was last checked.
- 08
Permit pages are not legal advice.
They explain the rules and link to the agency. Check with the agency before you build or sign.
Found a mistake?
Email hello@gabie.ai with the page and the fix. We check it, correct the page, and change its date.
Every empty face is money you already spent.
Sign up free for your first 100 faces, or bring three open faces and we run Scout on them while you watch.
