Best Apparatix Alternatives for Billboard Owners (2026)
By Gabie Research · Updated Oct 16, 2026 · 7 min read
Short answer
The best Apparatix alternative depends on why you are looking. For another full OOH back office, try BillboardPlanet Quantum. For simpler sales software, try SignDash. For marketplace buyers plus operator tools, try AdQuick. To find and pitch advertisers for empty faces, try Gabie. For digital ad serving at scale, try Broadsign. Most price on request.
- BillboardPlanet Quantum is the closest match to Apparatix's back office.
- SignDash is the lighter, sales-only option, with unlimited users and $250 a year per extra 100 faces.
- AdQuick now pairs its marketplace with holds, e-sign, proof of posting and lead generation.
- Gabie finds and pitches advertisers for open faces, but has no billing or e-signature.
- You don't have to replace Apparatix. You can add a sales tool next to it.
The best Apparatix alternative depends on why you are looking. If you want another full back office, BillboardPlanet Quantum is the closest match. If you want something lighter, SignDash. If your boards sit empty, you need a tool that finds buyers, like Gabie or AdQuick. You can also add a tool next to Apparatix instead of replacing it.
What does Apparatix do well?
Start with what you'd be giving up. Apparatix is a full system for independent OOH companies. Its homepage says it serves 400+ operators. That includes half of the top 20 independent OOH companies.
It covers the work after the sale in depth. Its fulfillment page lists mobile work orders, digital charting and automated proof of performance. Its 2025 review covers a new CRM, a rebuilt e-sign tool, real estate tools and AI Sales Profiles. It has long offered billing and lease tools too, per a 2016 Billboard Insider profile.

Why do owners look for Apparatix alternatives?
These are the common reasons, based on what Apparatix does and doesn't publish.
- No public price. Apparatix quotes after a demo. Some owners want to compare cost first.
- No self-serve start. You can't sign up and load your faces on your own.
- More system than needed. A small owner may not use the back office.
- Empty faces. Apparatix runs the deals you have. Its AI Sales Profiles brief a rep on a business the rep picks. They don't find new buyers near an open face.
- Digital scale. Big digital networks may want an ad server and exchange.

1. BillboardPlanet Quantum
BillboardPlanet has been in OOH software for more than 20 years, per its homepage. Its Quantum product covers inventory and availability, CRM, offers, proposals, contracts, print and install work orders, and proof of performance. It links to accounting systems and offers Power BI reports as an add-on. Since 2025, Quantum users can also list digital faces on Blip's marketplace, per Billboard Insider.
- Best for: owners who want a full back office, like Apparatix, from a different vendor.
- Watch for: no public price. Its Quantum page doesn't mention e-sign or lease tools, so ask.
2. SignDash
SignDash is sales and inventory software for independent owners. It shows open faces while you build a proposal and emails contracts for e-signature. It has a dashboard, revenue reports and a WordPress plugin with a board map. Users are unlimited. Its terms set the base fee at signup and add $250 a year for each extra block of 100 faces.
- Best for: small US owners who want to close deals faster and don't run a big back office.
- Watch for: no posting, proof, lease or digital tools listed. US clients only.

3. AdQuick
AdQuick began as a marketplace where brands buy OOH. It now sells an operator platform too. Its media owner page lists holds with conflict checks, contracts with e-sign, proof of posting, and reports on leases, royalties and billing. It also lists lead generation that surfaces advertisers near your units. Your boards show to buyers planning on its marketplace.
- Best for: owners who want national buyers and a modern system in one place.
- Watch for: no public price, and AdQuick serves advertisers as well as owners.

4. Gabie
Gabie is a system for billboard owners that starts with filling faces. It keeps structures, faces, holds, bookings, leases and permits in one record. It blocks double bookings and any booking that runs past a ground lease or permit. Gabie Scout, its AI rep, works each open face. Scout finds local businesses nearby, checks the contact and drafts a short email. By default, you approve each send. It goes from your own mailbox. Gabie also has a CRM, proposals from live availability, and contracts that book the faces when signed.
- Best for: owners with empty faces and few people to sell them.
- Watch for: Gabie has no billing, invoicing, payments or e-signature. Its HubSpot link is a one-way push of a deal. You can keep Apparatix or QuickBooks for the books.
- Price: free up to 100 faces, then $0.25 a face a month (Gabie).
5. The Siroky Group Quattro
Quattro is a back-office system from The Siroky Group. Readers named it in a 2024 Billboard Insider poll of OOH software. The company also offers a campaign tool with mapping, workforce automation and proof of posting. Ask for a current demo and price.
6. Broadsign
Broadsign is ad tech for digital networks. It plays the ads, serves direct and programmatic campaigns, and reports proof of play. It also has static campaign tools for charting and work orders. Its plans page lists Standard, Professional and Enterprise, with no prices shown.
- Best for: large digital networks that want programmatic demand.
- Watch for: it is not a CRM or a billing system. Read our Broadsign review.
7. HubSpot or Salesforce
Both are strong general CRMs. Neither knows what a billboard face is out of the box. In HubSpot, custom records like faces need an Enterprise plan, per its help docs. Sales Hub Enterprise starts at $150 a seat a month plus a $3,500 onboarding fee (HubSpot). Salesforce lists Sales Cloud from $25 to $550 per user a month.
- Best for: owners whose company already runs on one of them.
- Watch for: someone has to build and keep up faces, dates and bookings.
8. A spreadsheet plus QuickBooks
For a few boards with long-term tenants, this can be enough. QuickBooks Online lists plans from $38 to $340 a month. A sheet holds faces and end dates. The risk is that nothing warns you when a face opens, a lease ends or a renewal is due.
Which Apparatix alternative should you pick?
Match the tool to the reason you're looking.
- "It costs too much or I can't see the price." Get quotes from BillboardPlanet and SignDash. Compare them to Gabie's or HubSpot's published prices.
- "It's more than I need." Try SignDash, or a spreadsheet plus QuickBooks.
- "My boards sit empty." Look at Gabie or AdQuick.
- "I run a big digital network." Look at Broadsign.
- "I want a different back office." Look at BillboardPlanet Quantum or Quattro.
Should you replace Apparatix or add to it?
If Apparatix runs your billing, leases and posting well, you may not need to leave. If your gap is on the sales side, a sales tool can sit next to it. The rule is simple: pick one system to own availability. Two calendars that disagree will double-book a face.
If you do switch, plan the move. Export your structures, faces, live contracts, leases and contacts first. Ask the new vendor who loads them, and check the open dates before you sell from the new system.
Time the move with care. Don't switch in the middle of a busy selling season. Run both systems for a few weeks if you can, and compare open dates face by face. Keep your old exports in a safe place. Ask your accountant how billing history will carry over before you turn anything off.
Questions people ask
What is the best alternative to Apparatix?
For a full back office, BillboardPlanet Quantum is the closest match. For a lighter sales tool, SignDash. For finding advertisers for empty faces, Gabie. The best pick depends on why you are leaving.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Apparatix?
Apparatix doesn't publish prices, so compare quotes. Gabie is free up to 100 faces. HubSpot has a free CRM. SignDash publishes its add-on rate of $250 a year per extra 100 faces.
Which Apparatix alternative has e-signature?
SignDash and AdQuick both list e-signed contracts. Gabie does not have e-signature.
Can I use another tool alongside Apparatix?

Gabie and HubSpot let you sign up and start on your own. Most OOH vendors, including BillboardPlanet, SignDash and AdQuick, start with a demo or quote.
