Four-week period
A four-week period is out of home’s standard billing unit; a year has 13 of them.
OOH is sold in weekly cycles, and OAAA best practice bases rate cards on four-week delivery. Lamar and OUTFRONT both bill contracts every four weeks.
Fifty-two weeks make 13 four-week periods. So a four-week rate is not the same as a monthly rate.
To compare them, convert one into the other. A monthly rate times 12, divided by 13, gives the matching four-week rate.
Formula
Four-week rate = monthly rate × 12 ÷ 13. Monthly rate = four-week rate × 13 ÷ 12.
Example
B-114 N lists at $1,850 a month. The matching four-week rate is $1,850 × 12 ÷ 13, or about $1,708. A full year comes to $22,200 either way.
