Short answer: Neither HubSpot nor Salesforce knows what a billboard face is. HubSpot is cheaper to start. It is free, then lists $10 to $150 a seat a month, and custom objects need Enterprise. Salesforce lists $25 to $550 a seat a month. Small teams usually fit HubSpot. Large teams with an admin fit Salesforce. Neither shows which faces are open.

Key takeaways:
- Neither tool has face records or open-date checks out of the box. You build them.
- HubSpot custom objects need Enterprise, from $150 a seat a month. Products and properties work on any plan.
- Salesforce lists Starter Suite at $25 up to Max at $550 per user a month. We could not confirm which edition allows custom objects.
- Five sellers list at $500 a month on HubSpot Professional or on Salesforce Pro Suite.
- Gabie can push a deal to HubSpot one way. There is no Salesforce link.

Neither HubSpot nor Salesforce knows what a billboard face is. Both track people and deals well. Neither checks which
faces are open on which dates. HubSpot is easier to start and costs less per seat. Salesforce lists more editions and
more room to customize. Here is how they compare on what billboard selling needs.

> Note: Gabie makes billboard software and can send deals to HubSpot. Every fact here comes from each vendor's own pages, read on
October 12, 2026. HubSpot's pricing page would not load, so HubSpot prices come from its Sales Hub page.

## What does billboard selling need from a CRM?

A billboard deal is more than a person and an amount. It is a set of faces, for set dates, at set rates. So a CRM has
to do five things well. Our guide to [billboard CRM software](https://gabie.ai/learn/billboard-crm-software) covers them in full.

| Need | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Records for structures and faces | A rep sells face B-114 N, not "a sign" |
| Deals tied to faces and dates | A manager can see which faces are in play |
| Availability | Two reps must not promise the same face |
| Renewals | A flight near its end date needs a task |
| Cost per seat | Every seller adds to the bill |

## How do HubSpot and Salesforce compare?

| Need | HubSpot Sales Hub | Salesforce Sales Cloud |
|---|---|---|
| Records for faces | Custom objects need Enterprise. Products and custom properties work on any plan | Pages list "Unlimited Custom Applications." We could not tell which edition has custom objects |
| Deals tied to faces and dates | Add faces to a deal as line items. Use date pickers for the flight | Build with custom fields and records. Pro Suite adds "greater customization and automation" |
| Availability | No face calendar on the pages we read | No face calendar on the pages we read |
| Renewals | Sequences, which can add tasks, and sales workflows start on Professional | Starter Suite lists "built-in sales flows." Pro Suite adds automation |
| Price per seat a month | Free $0. Starter from $10 ($20 listed). Professional from $100. Enterprise from $150 | Starter Suite $25. Pro Suite $100. Core $195. Advanced $395. Max $550 |
| Onboarding fee | None on the Sales Hub page. Pricing page would not load | Not stated on the page we read |
| AI add-on | Not priced on the page we read | Agentforce for Sales from $125 per user a month |

## What does each one cost per seat?

HubSpot's [Sales Hub page](https://www.hubspot.com/products/sales) lists four plans. Free is $0. Starter starts at $10,
with $20 shown next to it. A note says the discount is for new customers only. Professional starts at $100. Enterprise
starts at $150. The page does not say if you pay monthly or yearly.

[Salesforce](https://www.salesforce.com/sales/pricing/) lists five editions, in US dollars per user a month. Starter
Suite is $25 and can be paid monthly or yearly. Pro Suite is $100. Core is $195. Advanced is $395. Max is $550. The
bigger editions are billed yearly. The page says prices can change.

| Team | HubSpot Professional | HubSpot Enterprise | Salesforce Pro Suite | Salesforce Core |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 sellers | $200 | $300 | $200 | $390 |
| 5 sellers | $500 | $750 | $500 | $975 |
| 15 sellers | $1,500 | $2,250 | $1,500 | $2,925 |

These are monthly list prices with no add-ons. HubSpot's "starts at" means the plan can cost more. Our
[billboard software pricing](https://gabie.ai/learn/billboard-software-pricing) page puts these next to the billboard tools.

### What does the first year cost for five sellers?

Multiply the monthly price by 12. Five sellers on HubSpot Professional come to $6,000 a year. On Enterprise, it is
$9,000. Five on Salesforce Pro Suite come to $6,000. On Core, it is $11,700.

These numbers leave things out. HubSpot also charges a one-time onboarding fee: $1,500 on Professional and $3,500 on Enterprise.
Salesforce adds AI as a paid extra. Agentforce for Sales starts at $125 per user a month. For five sellers, that is $625 a
month, or $7,500 a year. You may not need it. Still, add it to your math if you plan to use it.

## Which plan lets you build faces?

HubSpot is clear. Its [help page](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/object-settings/create-custom-objects) lists custom
objects under Enterprise for each Hub. That is $150 or more a seat a month. HubSpot also caps how many custom objects
and properties you can have, by plan.

You can start lower. HubSpot's [product library](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/products/create-and-manage-products) and
[custom properties](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-and-edit-properties) work on all plans. So each face
can be a product on a deal. But HubSpot will not check dates for you.

Salesforce is less clear. Its pricing page does not name custom objects. Its help page would not load for us. We cannot
say which edition lets you create them. Ask Salesforce in writing before you pick an edition.

## How do they handle follow-up emails?

HubSpot's [sequence tool](https://knowledge.hubspot.com/sequences/create-and-edit-sequences) sends a series of timed
emails. It needs a Professional or Enterprise plan and a seat. Each sequence holds up to 10 email templates. You can add
as many task reminders as you like.

Salesforce lists "built-in sales flows" in Starter Suite. Pro Suite adds more automation. Its page also lists AI, which
can be added to Core and above.

In both tools, a sequence runs on a timer. It does not know a face just opened up. For billboard sellers, that is the
real gap. The email is fine. The trigger is missing.

## What does one deal look like in each tool?

Say Riverbend Outdoor sells faces B-114 N and D-031 to Hollis Family Dental, starting November 2.

**In HubSpot on Professional.** The rep adds the faces as products on the deal. The rep sets flight start and end dates. A
sequence sends the follow-ups. The rep checks a sheet to see that both faces are open.

**In HubSpot on Enterprise.** A custom Face object links to the deal. Each face has its own record. The rep still checks
open dates by hand, unless you build a check.

**In Salesforce.** An admin builds the face records and the link to the deal. The same open-date gap remains. Someone must
build a calendar and a hold timer, and keep them right.

In every case, the CRM knows the deal. It does not know the calendar.

## What would you have to build in either one?

Both tools need the same work. Plan on this list.

1. A record for each structure and face.
2. A calendar of open, held and booked dates.
3. A hold that runs out on its own.
4. A check that stops a double booking.
5. A renewal task from each flight end date. Our guide to [billboard renewals](https://gabie.ai/learn/billboard-renewals) says to
start 60 to 90 days out.
6. Lease and permit end dates, checked against every booking.

Someone has to own this work and keep it right. A company with an admin or a developer can do it. A small team often
cannot.

## Who wins on each need?

Here is a plain verdict. It is our read of the posted facts.

- **Records for faces.** HubSpot is clearer. It says Enterprise, and it lists lower-cost ways to start. Salesforce did not
  say.
- **Deals tied to faces and dates.** A tie. Both need you to build it.
- **Availability.** A tie. Neither lists a face calendar.
- **Renewals.** A tie. Both need a date field and a rule that you set up.
- **Cost per seat.** HubSpot is lower at the start. The two meet near $100 a seat. Above that, Salesforce climbs faster.

No one wins on the part that matters most. That part is knowing which faces are open.

## Who should pick HubSpot?

- Teams that want to start free and add paid seats later.
- Teams whose marketing already runs in HubSpot.
- Owners with few faces and long tenants, who can keep open dates in a sheet.

HubSpot costs more once you need Enterprise for face records. At that point, compare it with a tool built for faces.

## Who should pick Salesforce?

- Large operators with an admin and a plan to build their own data model.
- Companies whose other lines of business already run on Salesforce.
- Teams that want to step up through editions as needs grow.

Salesforce's page sells Pro Suite and above as the editions for more customization and automation. That fits a
build-it-yourself plan. It also means more cost per seat.

## Who should pick neither?

Pick neither if faces sit empty and nobody has time to build a system. A general CRM can hold a deal. It will not hold
the calendar. A billboard tool, such as those in our [best billboard software](https://gabie.ai/learn/best-billboard-software) list,
may save the build.

## What should you ask each vendor before you buy?

Ask the same questions of HubSpot and Salesforce.

1. Which plan or edition do I need to create custom objects?
2. How many custom objects and properties can I have?
3. Is there an onboarding or setup fee?
4. Is the seat price billed monthly or yearly?
5. What will the price be at renewal?
6. Can I export all my data if I leave?

Get the answers in writing. Then add the cost of whoever will build and keep up the face setup.

## Can you use either with a billboard tool?

Yes. Keep your CRM and add a tool that owns faces and dates. Gabie can push a deal to HubSpot, one deal at a time,
per its [CRM page](https://gabie.ai/platform/crm). It goes one way. There is no Salesforce link in Gabie today. Whichever you choose, pick one system to own availability.
Two calendars that disagree will double-book a face.

> How Gabie handles this: Gabie keeps structures, faces, holds and open dates in one record. Its CRM ties each deal to real faces. A rep can
push a deal, with its company, contact and stage, to HubSpot. There is no Salesforce link. Gabie has no email marketing,
no invoicing and no e-signature. It is free up to 100 faces, then $0.25 a face a month
([pricing](https://gabie.ai/#pricing)). See [Gabie CRM](https://gabie.ai/platform/crm).

## Questions people ask
### Is HubSpot or Salesforce better for a billboard company?
It depends on size. HubSpot starts free and is easier to try. Salesforce lists more editions and more room to customize. Neither knows faces or open dates, so either way someone builds that part.

### Which HubSpot plan allows custom objects?
Enterprise. HubSpot's help page lists custom objects under Enterprise for each Hub. Sales Hub Enterprise starts at $150 a seat a month. Custom properties and the product library work on any plan.

### Which Salesforce edition allows custom objects?
We could not confirm it. Salesforce's pricing page does not name custom objects, and its help page would not load for us. It says Pro Suite adds more customization than Starter Suite. Ask Salesforce in writing.

### How much do HubSpot and Salesforce cost per seat?
HubSpot Sales Hub is free, then starts at $10 (listed at $20 after the new-customer offer), $100 and $150 a seat a month. Salesforce Sales Cloud lists $25, $100, $195, $395 and $550 per user a month.

### Can HubSpot or Salesforce show which billboard faces are open?
Not on their own. The pages we read describe no face calendar in either. You build the open-date check, or you keep availability in a billboard tool.

### Can I use Gabie with HubSpot or Salesforce?
With HubSpot, yes, one way. A rep can push a deal, with its company, contact and stage, from Gabie to HubSpot. There is no Salesforce link today.
